We can’t believe that we have completed one whole term in Year Two already! What a busy few weeks we have had! Miss Arthur has had us working like little elves and we’ve had lots of fun along the way
Our class trip
First let us tell you about our Class Trip to the Life Centre in Newcastle. We went to take part in a Destination Space Workshop and we learnt about what life is like in space for astronauts like Tim Peake. While at the Life Centre we also went ice skating which was so much fun! Take a look at our video below.
A Miracle in Town!
Yes, that’s right there was a miracle in town! We took to the stage to perform an adaptation of the first Christmas story and it was fantastic! We were so thankful to have a full audience of parents/carers and really enjoyed performing it. What a miracle it was that nothing went wrong!
Our class had a great time in class making Christmas products to sell at our Christmas Fair. We made tree decorations, snowman soup and Christmas cupcakes. Also, we enjoyed spending time in class making Christmas themed pom pom’s wand were so proud of how they turned out, even if Miss Arthur and Mrs Jensen said they never wanted to see wool for a while!!
We had a fantastic Christmas party this year with the Year One classes, even if the power cut half way through! Santa even made an appearance.
Our annual trip to the pantomime this year did not disappoint, we loved the performance of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ at The Custom’s House and our favourite character was Arbutt!
Check back next month to see what more fun we’ve been having in Year Two.
