Welcome to Two Year Old Provision - Miss Eltringham

February

Hello again!

Welcome to our February blog! We have been so busy this month participating in lots of cooking activities. Have a look at what we have been cooking.....

Fruit smoothies

We took the metro to Tesco to buy some fruit and milk to make fruit smoothies once we got back to school. We had great fun looking around the supermarket and helping to select and scan the food ourselves. Once back at school we helped to slice the bananas and strawberries very carefully with the knife, and then watched as they whizzed round in the blender to make our smoothies.

Tomato pasta

We looked closely at different types of pasta and learned the names of some new pieces of equipment and foods. Mrs Chisholm told us we were not allowed to touch the hob so we made sure we sat right back in the kitchen and watched as our pasta cooked.

Fruit kebabs

We have been enjoying listening to The Very Hungry Caterpillar story, so we decided to make fruit kebabs using the fruits that the caterpillar ate.
